Create a design that leverages a number and expresses it visually as well as verbally. I chose 2 (Two) for “Two peas in a pod” then created a booklet of numbers 1 through 10 from this project.
Choose a number and create a design that expresses that number both visually and verbally. “Two peas in a pod”, using the numeral 2 in Rockwell Extra Bold font, the white letter form creates 2 black negative spaces and the pea pod illustration provides a quick read on the number.
I enjoyed creating the number two so much that I decided to explore how I might express the remaining numbers. Each number has subtle visual cues that reinforce the letter form. Number one has a single color - red, while number three has three colors.
The number is also spelled out in text within the design.
